Ready Rocket Group ProgramÂ
Helping your child learn to understand and manage big emotions
From Big Feelings to Calm and ConfidenceÂ
Â
Big emotions. Frequent meltdowns. Moments where you're not quite sure what to say or do next. If this sounds familiar, you're not alone.
The Ready Rocket Group Program is a fun, small-group program that teaches children aged 4–7 how to recognise their emotions, understand their body's signals, and build practical strategies to feel calm and in control.
Using the engaging "rocket" framework — where kids become "Ready Regulators," journeying through different emotional planets and learning to navigate their own flight path — this evidence-based, neuroaffirming program is delivered by a registered psychologist and provisional psychologist in a warm, small-group setting where children learn alongside peers their own age.
Â
What Your Child Will Learn
Over six sessions, your child will follow the Ready Rocket story — joining the Ready Regulators as they travel through different emotional "planets" (like Planet Zing, Planet Fizz, and Planet Crash), each representing a different feeling and energy level. Along the way, they'll:
Understand Big Feelings
Learn to recognise and name their emotions with confidence, using the fight-flight-freeze response explained in kid-friendly language
Reading Their Body's SignalsÂ
Understanding what their body is telling them as energy and emotions shift throughout the dayÂ
A Toolkit of StrategiesÂ
Building a personal toolkit of practical, fun strategies, including breathing techniques, mindfulness, and whole-body movement to support self-regulation
Confidence Beyond the SessionÂ
Build confidence, resilience, and emotional awareness that carries into home and schoolÂ
 Building Social Connection
Build social skills including listening, turn-taking, and connecting with others by practising these strategies alongside peers
Every Child, UnderstoodÂ
Learn in a neurodiverse-affirming space that celebrates every child's unique way of thinking, feeling, and processing emotions. There is no "right" or "wrong" way to feel
Support for You as a ParentÂ
This program isn't just about what happens in the room. It's about giving you tools to understand your child better at home.
Using our Reframing Behaviour Toolkit, we look beneath the surface of the behaviours you're seeing to understand what's really going on for your child, things like sensory needs, hunger, fatigue, or emotional overload that aren't always obvious in the moment. We also use tools like the Escalation Curve to help you recognise the stages your child moves through before, during, and after a big reaction.
You'll walk away with a clearer picture of what's driving your child's big feelings, and a collaborative action plan, built together with you, full of practical strategies you can use at home and share with school.
